Meet Your Teachers

  • Mrs. Chapman

    • Wow, this is my 20th year teaching at Asbury! The majority of that time has been spent teaching first graders, although I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. First graders are my true love. My degrees include a BA in Sociology, a minor in reading methods, a Master’s degree in counseling students in grades K-12, and 60 post Master’s credit hours in educational course work. I am proud graduate of Denver Public Schools. I am a wife and mother of three children. My oldest daughter is a junior in high school and I have a daughter who is a freshman this year. Both are “graduates” of Asbury. My son is in third grade here at Asbury. In my spare time I like to read, travel, garden, cook, hike, ski and spend time with my precious family.
  • Ms. Stephenson

    • This is my seventh year teaching in my own classroom and my third year teaching first grade. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in December of 2005, and was a substitute teacher during the following spring. I taught at Florida Pitt Waller my first four years, one year in fifth grade, and then three years in third grade. I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Colorado for college. I have loved living here ever since! I have a dog named McGee, who I love to spoil. In my spare time I like to read, write, travel, snowboard, hike, run, and spend time with my family and friends. I am a huge Nebraska football fan. GO BIG RED! I think that this will be a fun and exciting year for us all!
